DANCING HARES IN NAPA VALLEY
This house was built by friends of mine who moved to the Napa Valley from Park City, Utah. The decided they wanted to be in the wine making business and so started Dancing Hares Vineyards sit on 30 Acres overlooking the town of St. Helena. Dancing Hares produces one of Napa Valley's best wines.
The design Architect was Howard Backen of Backen and Gillam Architects in Mill Valley, California. This beautiful home is a contemporary version of a Tuscan House. All of the doors and windows disappear into pockets in the walls creating the elegant feeling of being in a pavilion. It’s antiqued walnut floors and antiqued and glazed woodwork make the finishes feel as if they have been here for years. The plaster work has an earthy but sophisticated look and feel to it. All of this is surrounded by incredible views into the valley and magical landscaping that was designed by Ron Lutz.
